What are atoms and molecules? Do they really exist? What evidence do we have of their existence? Learn how the structure of atoms and molecules determine how matter behaves and interacts with light. See the effects that force us to accept Quantum Mechanics. Learn how these effects are used in spectrometry, a technology used by the space telescopes and the Curiosity Rover. Workshops are day-long, and free for teachers, middle and high school student groups, and college students. Beginning in Fall 2018, reserve your place at lased.upra.edu (limited space). A related museum style exhibition will also be prepared. Come to the exhibition, starting in Fall 2018 (hours to be announced at lased.upra.edu) or see it when you come to another activity ISMuL or AEL.
